Heritage has some good points here against continuing the “cash for clunkers” program.” Bascially it does nothing for the environment, hurts families, hurts the free market system and hurts charites by taking cars away from charities who except such donations (such an obvious victim i didn’t even think about it. combine it with the president’s plans to decrease charitable deductions and one might see a plot.)
